How to Create Your Own Folder Locker

We all have some files which we would like to keep private. There are many programs to do so, which can make things confusing. Why not make your own perfectly working password protected folder locker program?

   Open a new text document file.

   Copy the following code into the text document

   Type your password by editing the "PASSWORD" word with your own password.

   Go to files > save as.

   Select all files.

   Rename your folder locker as you like. Remember to type".bat" in the place of ".txt".

   Make sure the text file has turned into a batch file(same as CMD).

   Move the file any where you like and open the file. You will notice that a folder named "Locked" or "Locker" or anything you named it is created.

    Copy all of the files and folders that you want to keep private in the "Locked/Locker" folder.

    Open the batch file you created and the file will ask you if you want to lock the "Locked" folder. Type Y then press enter and your folder will be locked and vanish.

    If you want your files unlocked, open the batch file and it will want a password.`Type your password there and press enter. The folder will be unlocked. Have fun!

• Rename your batch file to something that will not attract others attention.
• Hide your batch file any where you like.

• The text file must be renamed with an extension with ".bat" or the file will not work.
• The folder can't be run, but could very easily be deleted if 'show hidden files' and 'view system files' is checked.
• All one has to do is right-click and select "Edit," (Windows 7,) and they can view your password.
